PROJECT FOR PASSEIG RAMON CODINA, EL PRAT DE LLOBREGAT

The project proposes a complete renovation of the promenade, prioritising green areas and restricting the passage of vehicles, creating a more pedestrianfriendly space and promoting biodiversity. Paseo Ramon Codina becomes a green corridor for the San Cosme neighbourhood, connecting different existing focal points of activity.

The proposal is based on the creation of large landscaped areas with curved shapes that differentiate the paving between the lateral and central areas without limiting circulation and use in the transversal direction. The section is resolved in a single platform, paved with pieces of concrete and sablon.

This cross-section promotes the collection of runoff in the landscaped areas and in the central area, paved with sablon. The green area is maximised, accompanying the existing trees with new shrubbery that will encourage biodiversity. The use of permeable paving will help to mitigate the heat island effect and the thermal control of the neighbourhood environment
